Alistair qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1995 and has a wide experience in the valuation of both residential and commercial properties throughout Lancashire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire.

Alistair commenced his professional career in the Valuation Office at Burnley and spent four years in the organisation dealing with Compulsory Purchase and Council Tax issues.

The next two years were spent operating as a Property Manager for Nightingale Chancellors who are an independent firm of estate agents and property managers based in Richmond, Surrey.

After this, Alistair joined Bradford and Bingley Group Surveyors operating from their Accrington branch as a General Practice Surveyor, carrying out residential mortgage valuations, HomeBuyer Surveys and Building Surveys on a wide range of residential properties throughout the Northwest of England.

Alistair joined Petty Chartered Surveyors in the year 2000, eventually heading up the Residential Valuation Department and becoming a Partner in 2007 and subsequently a Director in 2010 before leaving to form AJP Surveyors.

He was a panel valuer on behalf of the majority of high street corporate banks and has also undertaken many expert witness appointments.

John qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1994 and has a broad experience of the majority of property classes throughout the north of England such as retail, industrial and general commercial, in addition to specialist experience in valuing schools, community centres and other types of non-mainstream properties.

John commenced his professional career in the Valuation Office at Rochdale and spent 5 years in that organisation, dealing with Compulsory Purchase, Rating, and Taxation Matters. The next ten years was spent at Lancashire County Council as a Principal Estates Surveyor where he was also a member of the RICS Public Sector Valuation Working Group which considered and advised Local Authorities as to how to value unusual properties such as fire stations, libraries and schools.

John joined Petty Chartered Surveyors in 2006 and spent seven years expanding the Professional Valuation Department, undertaking commercial and residential valuation work on behalf of lenders and private clients.

John became a Director at Petty Chartered Surveyors in 2010 before leaving to form AJP Surveyors.

ANDREA KING

Administrative Support

Andrea is the head of the Administrative Department at AJP Surveyors and is tasked with typing reports along with answering the phone and general management of the office.

Andrea is extremely experienced, with a breadth of local knowledge and is also personable and efficient.

Andrea is the first point of contact when clients ring in with general enquiries or requests for advice.
